How to Apply for the David Knaus Memorial Scholarship |
The West Allis Radio Amateur Club has awarded over $66,000 in Scholarships to qualified radio amateurs since 1988. One WARAC David Knaus Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually and in 2022 the amount was increased to $3000. See list of past recipients below. These scholarships are funded largely by an endowment established by WARAC for this purpose. Also, proceeds from donated equipment sales are used to further support the scholarship program. Our Scholarship Chairman or other club officers may be contacted at any time regarding tax-deductible donations. Application Information Eligibility requirements: Applicants must hold an Amateur Radio license and be a resident of Wisconsin (preferred) or the ARRL Central Division (Illinois, Indiana or Wisconsin). Applicants must be pursuing a 2-year or 4-year degree. When to Apply: Applications must be made between October 1 and January 31.
