2017 WIQP Mobile
Postings
WO9B - Sunday 03/12/2017 to Monday 03/13/2017 using SSB and CW
100 watts of ham radio
power this year. Plan to operate 20 and 40, switching to 40 and 80 late
in the day. We also will be trying VHF 146.55 between stops. Depending on
how things go, Outagamie may be dropped, but we won’t know until the end.
This is a new route and one can never be sure how all the pieces fit together.

Equipment will be an
FT-2000 at 100W and an 80m Carolina Windom, running East-West, at 35

this point I am very much open to suggestions.

towards Fond du Lac.
We'll turn towards Ripon and work a few counties before returning back to
Appleton. Our operators will be on voice for 20m, 40m and 146.55 MHz. Around 5 pm, we
will move one rig to 75 meters. For anyone who can work 70cm, we can also
complete a QSO on 446.025 MHz after working you on 2m. APRS will be

K9APW - (Change from previously published plan)
The earlier announced
plans for Dan, K9IBM, and Dick, K9APW, to activate 14 south west and west
central Wisconsin counties for the contest have been canceled due to unplanned
events.
Instead of being a mobile
operation, we may still simply set up a portable operation from Iowa county --
again, plans are a bit indefinite but most hoped for!!
See you on the air,
hopefully, from Blue Mound State Park in Iowa County --

K9TIT
K9TIT will once again be
mobile for the WI QSO Party this year.
We will have three
operators, Tim KC9FSH, Andy KC9IZF and Nate AB9TE. The plan right now is to
attempt two HF stations, primarily on 20m and 40m SSB however band choice may
change. We will also have a 2m/440 station that we will make contacts on
however the main focus will be on HF.
The counties will be the
following:

Brown
Manitowoc
Sheboygan
Ozaukee (Depending on
time)
Washington (Depending on
time)
Fond du Lac
Dodge
Green Lake

Outagamie
We typically alter our
route as we run but we will for sure operate from the counties that are not
listed as depending on time.

W9NAW
Hello Everyone--I am on the
move again!! This time I will be
operating from Green Lake County (GRL).
I have picked a motel in Princeton at the junction of State Roads 23 and
73 (Acorn Ridge Motel).
I will have two different
OCFD antennas strung between trees. I
will probably start on 20 meters and then 40 and 75 (all SSB mode). I will have a rig monitoring 146.55
MHz--FM. Any of the rovers that are
close, give me a call.
Good luck to all. Most of all have fun.
