WIQP Mobile Postings
Please forward your plans!
W0ZQ (revised 3/13)
I decided to try an experiment for this year’s WiQP. I will be visiting fewer counties than originally planned which, as a solo op, allows me to operate a bit more and to now including phone. From each county I will run through CW first on 20, 40, then 80m, and then as time allows move over to phone on 20, then 40 then 75m.
Route is:
EAU @ 1:00pm
TRE @ 1:52pm
BUF @ 2:54pm
PEP @ 3:57pm
DUN @5:02pm
PIE @ 6:12 pm
STC @ 7:12 pm

This year I plan on attempting 12 counties as a VHF/UHF mobile.
The counties are: MAR, SHA, POR, WAP, WSR, MRQ, GRL, COL, DOD, FDL, CAL, BRO
I have never operated from MAR before, but I did a drive through and found some spots that may work. I will be operating 2m /2m SSB - 70cm/70cm SSB.

K9TIT
K9TIT will be mobile again this year. We will be able to operate two HF bands at a time on 80, 40, or 20 SSB as well as 2m/440 FM. We should be running APRS under K9TIT-9 as long as I remember to turn that on. The operators for us right now are KC9FSH, KC9IZF and WE9U.
We will be starting in Menasha and then moving into the following counties.
Winnebago
Waushara
Waupaca
Portage
Wood
Marathon
Shawano
Brown
Outagamie
Calumet (for a very brief time near the end of the contest)
If we have time, we'll be going into Oconto county, between Shawano and Brown, but that all depends on how we are doing on time. We will also be stopping at the Wood County ARES WIQP location for a little while in Wisconsin Rapids.
Here is a link to a map showing the route that we plan to take with the only change being between Portage and Wood, Google maps routed us onto a county line road but we'll be going more into Wood county on 54 to avoid the county line. https://i.ibb.co/9Z09nnZ/k9tit-2020-wiqp.png

WO9B (revised 3/13)
We've decided to suspend our operation this weekend. At least as a group. I am still planning on going out mobile, but as a single operator. I'll try to do about 6 counties and see what happens.

W9FK
Hello everyone--I will be operating the BONUS STATION--W9FK (SSB) instead of my call from Iowa (IOW) County.
Operation will be from the Super 8 Motel between County Highway YZ, State Highway 23 and US Highway 18, north side of Dodgeville, WI. Operation will be on 75, 40 and 20 SSB using OCFD antennas as well as on 2M (146.55 MHz-FM). This time I have a 7 element 2M beam with me. May need help from a passing rover to confirm the county!
Good luck to all. This is a fun contest and the weather looks to be decent.
